It’s not just pizza, awesome catering or the full Italian style menu that keeps customers coming back. The Mangia family’s entrepreneurial spirit dates back 77 years to an Italian Market in Dearborn and then to Chimento’s Italian Market in Livonia. Today, Mangia continues to serve the community and has become a focal point in the neighborhood for special occasions, family parties, neighborhood association meetings and even a place for music groups to meet and practice.

The Food
Mangia serves up a number of specialty pizza’s as well as several other Italian entree’s and sandwich’s. One online review even makes the claim that Mangia deep dish pizza rivals Buddy’s pizza. After participating in the City of Westland PizzaPalooza event, the owner told us that out of the 10 pizza’s to choose from, the Tomato Focaccia was the first choice that participants were eager to try. Pizza options are endless, but that’s not all. The menu also offers up items such as homemade meatballs, lasagna, fresh salads, Ribs, Chicken and more than 20 different kinds of sandwich’s and sub’s. The Friday Fish fry during Lent offers up excellent fish, hush puppies, homemade Mac n Cheese, smelt and much more. Mangia makes all of their products fresh, in-house and made to order. Services
Mangia delivers catering to events large and small, work parties and business events. The banquet room is available for parties up to 60-70 people and you can even customize your menu options. If there is a school looking to add pepperoni rolls to concession stands, a local market or restaurant in need of certain food products, Mangia may be able to help. All products are fresh and made in-house with custom orders to suit your needs. The benefits of supporting family owned businesses are endless and we believe Mangia sets a great example how mom and pop shops can support the local community better than corporate chains.

History
In 2009, Mangia opened it’s doors in Westland as a catering business & pizza shop. At the time, the location was a single unit without a seating area. High quality food at reasonable prices helped the business continue to gain popularity in the neighborhood and in 2013 they decided to expand. The business doubled in size with the addition of a banquet room and seating area. The new banquet room has since been the location for baby showers, family & birthday parties, sport league fundraisers, neighborhood association meetings and many more occasions.
