A dangerous criminal is now off the streets and behind bars after police executed a search warrant this morning at an apartment on Wayne Rd in Westland. Police describe the suspect as a 26-year-old man who was previously convicted of armed robbery. In 2013, the suspect was sentenced to 30 years in prison for armed robberies that took place at Family Dollar Stores in Taylor and Detroit. He was paroled in August of 2019 and is now accused of seven recent armed robberies in metro Detroit.     

Investigators believe he is responsible for robberies at Family Dollar Stores in Warren, Detroit and Pontiac as well as robberies of Check’n Go Payday Loan locations in Warren, St. Claire Shores and Sterling Heights. The investigation and the raid were conducted by the City of Warren Police Department and they continue to search for a second suspect.
