Voters Renew Jail Tax Despite Decade of Trouble

Voters in Wayne County voted to approve a 10 year millage renewal for the operation of the county jail. The renewal called Proposition J, costs the owner of a $150,000 home about $70 per year. The millage raises about $45 million a year for jail operations.
